WHAT IS A BATCH NUMBER?（什么是批号？）
A number or code - typically three characters in length - found stamped (though doesn't tend to leave an indent) on or near the bottom of the item's box and/or tube, pot, etc. It is, in fact, the production code.（一个数字或代码，通常是3个字符的长度，印在物品盒子，管子和罐子等底部（虽然不是倾向于缩排）。事实上，它就是生产代码。）
WHY WOULD I NEED A BATCH NUMBER?（我为什么需要一个生产批号？）
Make-up has a shelf life and expires just like food does; a cosmetic(s) product that has past its expiry date will lose its colour, texture and scent. More importantly, though, the product can or, as in most cases, WILL, cause skin irritation when used. HOW DO I DECODE A BATCH NUMBER?（怎样解码批号）
As mentioned above, the batch number is three characters in length; older batch numbers (such as one from 1997) were, for example, six characters in length.上面提到，批号是3个字符的长度，旧的批号（像1997年的）是6个字符的长度。
OK, now the tricky part!
1.TheFIRSTcharacter represents theproduction/batch run that month.第一个字符代表当月运行的生产/批次
2.TheSECONDcharacter represents themonth of production. ***see numbers below***第二个字符代表生产月份，如下
3.TheTHIRDcharacter represents theyear of production.第三个字符代表生产年份
1 = January1=1月
2 = February2=2月

5 = May5=5月

A = OctoberA=10月
